                       Defination of computer shortcut keys 


Computer defination a keyboard key that involves a function in the operating system or application when pressed. Shortcut keys which may involves pressing two or three keys at the same time, are setup for common tasks such as launching a favorite program. 




                  List of computer shortcut keys
  • Ctrl + A =  These two keys will select all text and other objects.
  • Ctrl + B =  Bold highlighted text.
  • Ctrl + C =  Copy any selected text and objects.
  • Ctrl + D =  Bookmark an open webpage or open font window in microsoft word.
  • Ctrl + E =  Center text.
  • Ctrl + F = Open file window.
  • Ctrl + G = Open find in a browser and word processor
  • Ctrl + H = Open the find and replace in notepad, microsoft word and wordpad.
  • Ctrl + I =  Italicize text.
  • Ctrl + J =  View downloads in browser and set justify alignment in microsoft word.
  • Ctrl + K =  Create a hyperlink for the highlighted text in microsoft word and many HTML editors.
  • Ctrl + L =  Select address bar in a browser or left align text in word processor.
  • Ctrl + M =  Indent selected text in a word processores and other programs.
  • Ctrl + N =  Create a new page or document.
  • Ctrl + O =  Open a file in a most programs.
  • Ctrl + P =  Open a print window to print the page you are viewing.
  • Ctrl + R =  Reload a page in a browser or write align text in a word processor.
  • Ctrl + S =  Save the document or file.
  • Ctrl + T =  Create a new tag in an internet browser or adjust a tag in a word processors.
  • Ctrl + U =  Underline selected text.
  • Ctrl + V =  Paste any text or another objects that has been copied.
  • Ctrl + W =  Close open tab in a browser or close a document in word.
  • Ctrl + X =  Cut a selected text or another objects.
  • Ctrl + Y =  These keys will redo any undo action. 
  • Ctrl + Z =  Pressing these two keys will undo any action.
  • Ctrl + End =  Moves cursor to the end of the document instead of end of the line.
  • Ctrl + ESC =  Open the windows start menu.
  • Ctrl + Tab =  Switch between open tabs in a browsers or other tabbed.
  • Ctrl + Shift + Tab =  Will go backwards.
  • Ctrl + ⇑ Shift + Z =  Redo
  • Ctrl + End Bottom = (end of document or window)
  • Ctrl + Home =  Top (start of document or window)
  • Ctrl + Insert =  Copy
  • Ctrl + PgDn =  Next tab

  • Shift + F1 Key =  Review text formating
  • F2  Key =  Move text or image

  • F4 Key =  Perform the last action again
  • Shift + F4 Key =  Perform a find or go to action again

  • Shift + F10 =  Display a shortcut menu ( same as right clicking)
  • F11 Key =  Go to the next field

  • F12 Key =  Open save as equivalent to tools menu
